Retirement Community Enjoys 40% Savings with AERCO’S Modulex

The owners of the Springvale Retirement Community in Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., always try to stay ahead of the curve. That philosophy began when Springvale opened in 1959 as the first adult residential community catering to people 55 years of age and older in Westchester County, N.Y. The owners have continued to stay ahead of the curve through carefully planned maintenance and renovations, including replacing the original boilers with high-efficiency condensing equipment to reduce heating costs.

A Luxury High-Rise Gets Premium System without High Installation and Operating Costs

This new, 12-story luxury rental residential building overlooks midtown Manhattan. The distinctive rental offers 199 units in a mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments; along with amenities that include a state-of-the-art fitness center, gaming lounge, clubroom and more. The building was designed for high efficiency, incorporating a water source heat pump loop for space heating—so low inlet water temperatures and condensing equipment was a given.

AERCO Rescues Fraternity that Calls Renovated Firehouse Home

The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity, a national organization with a distinguished history that counts Steven Spielberg and Lee Laccoca as alumni, was in dire need of a new HVAC solution to replace the old failing equipment in their home – an older, renovated firehouse. With several alumni well-read in HVAC, they knew the best choice to rescue the current members from high energy bills and costly repairs was to graduate to a more efficient, reliable heating system.

AERCO’s Innovation Provides the Right Remedy for Colorado Hospital

This Colorado hospital is constructing a 175,000 sq. ft. facility, slated to open in late 2013. The center will offer a wide range of expert pediatric care, including urgent, outpatient specialty, inpatient and surgical, along with the latest imaging and diagnostic technology. Instead of an old-fashioned, large, central steam plant, the hospital wanted an innovative, decentralized system to supply its state-of-the-art facility. The project’s engineers needed to design a high efficiency, direct-fired domestic water heating system in the smallest space possible while meeting the system’s high demand.

Top Research Facility Reduces Fuel Bills by 40% with AERCO Solutions

Prestigious U.S. hospital, Massachusetts General, had a lot of reasons to be proud of its recently renovated, state-of-the-art biomedical research facility. Like many large healthcare facilities, the 95,000 square-foot location used a central steam plant to supply indirect heat exchangers for space heating and domestic hot water. The steam boilers also supplied primary energy for the facility’s sterilization equipment. The building’s single centralized steam system was meeting all the facility’s needs, but it was far from efficient at 50 to 60%.
