Northvale, NJ (July 16, 2007) — AERCO, the design leader in high-efficiency boilers and hot water heaters, was recognized for excellence in product design in the third annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News (ACHR) magazine. An independent panel of 51 contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 106 entries from 73 manufacturers. AERCO's Modulex line of condensing boilers was the Silver Award winner in the Light Commercial product category. The ACHR News is the leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration industries.

News Publisher John Conrad stated, "These awards give us a unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVAC/R industry and the awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions."

"Earning a prestigious award such as ACHR News' Dealer Design validates the fact that the Modulex line represents a true breakthrough in boiler design," said Mark Croce, AERCO Director of Marketing. "AERCO takes great pride in its track record for bringing innovations to the marketplace and it is always wonderful to see that innovation recognized."

Available in six different sizes, the Modulex light commercial boilers have unmatched turndown to maximize seasonal efficiency and bring an unprecedented level of operating reliability to installations that require from 300,000 to 1 million BTUs/hr. capacity. With modulating capabilities from 6:1 to 23:1 (depending on the unit) the line provides best-in-class turndown to maximize seasonal operating efficiency.

Each AERCO Modulex boiler combines between two and seven independent, 151,500 BTU/hr., pre-assembled thermal modules housed in a common enclosure. Each module has its own dedicated controller with a combustion safeguard, variable-speed fan, modulating gas valve, electronic ignition, modulating burner, flow temperature sensor, thermostat and heat exchanger. The independent operation of these thermal modules increases each boiler's overall reliability and provides a level of redundancy that was previously only realized in multi-boiler installations.

Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards will be featured in the July 16, 2007 issue of The ACHR News, which is distributed nationally to over 33,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers, and other industry professionals.

AERCO offers commercial boilers and water heaters that simplify infrastructure, reduce project costs and minimize lifecycle expenses for value-driven schools, hospitals and others seeking long-lasting, reliable, high-efficiency equipment.
